  1. Around the people I know, EVERYONE who is not too short on money, knows a bit about tech and plays more than just mainstream games like fortnite, owns a vr headset. what a time to be alive <3 thanks thrill

  2. There was another VR headset that It chords that go to your hands in your feet each had only one game on it. I remember it cuz I had one that I got from Walmart and the thing took a lot of batteries.it was somewhere between the late 90s in the early 2000s.

  3. One question (for the end) that I get a lot from people around me is: "do you think VR will entirely replace flat-gaming and that we will never play like we did ?"
To wich I answer: "Did 3D entirely replaced 2D ? No, it did not. We still play play 2d games and 2d games are still released to this day. VR will thrive and become a new media, a new platform, a new way to play games but it will exist alongside "regular" gaming. "

  4. never had i thought the nerd in me was gonna be the cataclyst to get me into shape. got a oculus(edit: quest) headset resently, and damn haven't been so physical in years haha

  5. Disappointed at HTC.
    First, they releasing HTC Vive
Then HTC ViVE pro with triple of price
then they are changing the name to HTC Cosmos.
What's going on guys? Why not HTC Vive 2? Then 2 Pro?

  6. I want to play minecraft inside virtual reality where you can feel all inside like "sword art online" i hope this dream of mine will make oh dear scientist, creators, smartasses plssss

  7. Not a single mention of boneworks… Are we not even considering software here? It was by far the most anticipated vr release other than alex, and it sets a new standard for vr games and physics

  8. Remember watching VR development before head tracking, doesn't feel like it was that long ago, and though I know it will be years before fulldive, right now it feels a bit closer.

Great video, also loved seeing you in disrupt's "Last to leave VR" video.

  9. Thrill, I'm so impressed with how much work you put into your videos. That's a ton of content to sift through and distill, not to mention cursing all of the visuals. Keep up the great work. Look forward to each new video you put out. Especially love this more serious format fwiw

  10. I remember saying to myself a long time ago that I'll get VR when the games reach the same level as normal flat screen games….then the new Half life was announced.
Now I'm taking VR very Seriously.

  11. I seriously doubt that "full dive" will be a thing like… ever. The closest we'll get is full body haptic suits that can somehow restrict motion to simulate solid objects, and also support our weight so we can "lean" on things. Full Dive will require decoding the sensory inputs of the entire body, which will require quantum computing speeds, which we're still not sure is even possible in a home environment, not to mention an Input/Output method that doesn't require major surgery to attach probes to your brain stem.
However, that said I can see an argument made for haptic suits that use electrical stimulation to inhibit muscle movement to simulate solid objects, and also to send impulses to your nervous system that simulates other sensations, like heat, cold, smooth, rough, slippery, soft, fuzzy, and different levels of these, to simulate different environments. It might also be possible to electrically stimulate the nose and tongue with probes in the right places to simulate taste and smell. So yeah, bypassing the human nervous system? Probably not gonna happen. But I think we can work with it

  12. Awesome video dude! Too bad you didn’t throw a clip in from the movie Lawnmower man, when I was 13 that movie just came out and I have never stopped thinking about VR since. You hit all the highlights except the wave of generic mobile VR, wasn’t even mentioned… haha
