No
After the novelty fades off, it’ll be back to normal. Smartphones have reached its saturation point already.
No
Build things that are useful and last. Planned obsolescence is slavery.
The latest and greatest "smart-phones?" Are designed to take money from dumb people.
5G? No testing on health effects from pulsed microwaves on human beings so my refrigerator can be connected to the Internet? I'd rather make-do with an ice-chest and avoid my brain and DNA being scrambled.
We won't know because USA have banned Huawei
people need a tablet-screen-sized smart phone.. the foldable screen is going to be sucessfully appealed to smart phone users
The only way they'll ever be useful is when we get a serious display tech upgrade that negates the need for a thick brick in. Otherwise, all phones will have the same problem Samsung had. It'll break after 2 minutes of use.
The saving feature that will save smartphones is holographic technology
The best phone is to help me make money, not the opposite.
While the idea is kinda futuristic, i dont see the point of foldable or bendable smartphone when these innovation is actively making the devices more vulnarable to defect.
What's there to save smartphones from?
Why does there need to be further growth? It's just shop shop shop with you people
Huawei is going to come out on top better and stronger than ever before.
Not unless foldable smartphones get closer to the $1000 range. Smartphones as far as I remember used to typically start out around $600 to $800 when they were released, even for the new flagship phones (I do not have stats on this, this is just by memory). Maybe one of the things that started driving people away is that smartphones started getting higher in price with each new release of the next gen flagship. A $1000 smartphone was a shock to a lot of people for a reason, and now it's common. If Samsung made a Huawei Mate X phone (I prefer this design) that cost around $1000 then I would be really tempted to buy it, but the normal lowering bezels and adding more cameras does not appeal to me as much as it does others.
I would buy a 5G phone if I had 5G in my neighborhood, but I don't ?♂️ The foldable screens are just a gimmick to most people.
So a tablet that holds into a phone?
Save them from what? No wonder we are all so damn stupid…
There is no more growth = the smartphone isn't doing well…
everyone talking about smartphones here… while I'm here thinking about how they showed TikTok in the video…twice
Smartphones need saving??
If someone invented a "screen in the air" technology like Iron Man, would they buy a new phone?
"Save smartphones"?! Lol save them from what? Like they're suddenly going to stop being useful?
Foldable displays are a useless thing.
What smartphones need is an optimised software experience the user gets AND way better batteries, the perfect materials, REPAIRIBILITY, and if wanted perhaps cool sensors or other stuff which is actually wanted and practical.
Anyways, they will advertise those smartphones and brainwash enough people so that it is profit for them anyways.
Damage control "Pure Communism" ~ ??
Didn’t we move away from flip phones for a reason ?
The foldable screen is pointless for nearly everyone.
Short answer
No.
Life is quite crappy, an overpriced phone doesnt change that
No 5G, no more Cameras, no more screen. How about durability and security.
Alibaba crypto coin will come out soon.
Israel killed 5G deployment it causes dna mutations and cancer and other neurological disorders in rodents and chimpanzee models
HUAWEI?
No they won't.
Don't worry… you will have something to invest in real soon… We have Iran surrounded at the moment… WW 3 is on the horizon…

Smartphones sales have started to decline. Can manufacturers make them exciting again?
