We go hands-on with Tactical Haptics’ custom VR controllers. Their novel approach of using shear forces in virtual reality controllers really surprised and …
When you said "way we've never seen before, think he just realized it was worth it
I'm not swinging those bricks around all day. Thanks anyway.
I know they don't want us focusing over the magnetic poses over their haptics, but that really is an impressively elegant design.
another great step in the right direction, those magnets are especially excellent. the decision to buy the knuckles just got alot more complex
Yes you could 'push thrpught' in VR regardless of haptics *key electric shock
About half wade through the video the tron legacy soundtrack was playing in the background and I really want to know why.
If they take this consumer I really hope they adapt it to the Index knuckles style controller. Because never actually letting go of the controller is another element that subtracts from the immersion.
Smaaaaaaaaart!
I love this company and unless some incredible new technology appears I'm almost certain that when we have the basic hmd technology solved this will be the next step
If i where the boss at Valve or Oculus i would hire or buy-out the haptics guy in a heartbeat, that man has great ideas and can make a product..
I have a feeling that magnet coupling system is going to catch on.
But u have to constantly grip it tho, can't open your hands, and it looks heavy as fuck, pass
Wish Oculus would update the CV1 with a better screen to match the Rift S. I have no interest in the Rift S.. I mean it's a great headset for a quick and easy setup, but prefer the Rift to the Rift S for room scale, accuracy and tracking. So I would like Oculus to bring out a Rift+ with the Rift S screen until the CV2 comes out in about 1 and a half years to years.. Committing to the Index is expensive. It's basically a Vive, which means I can get Body Trackers and accessories like Rifles etc.. and I can't get left behind not getting next gen VR with my friends and work.. :S
My dumb ass thought they were just gonna strap bands to all the joints in our arms. Lmfao
[Hong Kong protest] Hey, I’m sorry fellow makers & the tested crew~ I don’t mean to get political, just need everyone to be aware.
If it works out for your channel or ppl reading. Give a shout out or check out what’s going down in HK these few weeks.
Up to 1.5-1.9mil took the streets to protest (Hk got 7ish Mil population to begin with). Bricks were throw, tear gas was shot, press were shot at. I’m sorry Norm & tester crew, I love your knowledgeable reviews, but what we’ve been going through has been quite intense.
Just need people to know. That’s all ?? pls like or put a random comment to keep this on top just for awareness. Thanks for helping our fight.
Finally a video where they dont just stand behind a desk a talk for 20 mins with no visuals of what they are explaining… This ones slightly less boring .
If they can ditch the magnet stuff and get something like this into an oculus touch or index form factor, I'd be very interested.
I thought they are more like gloves or something, yet still very cool stuff)
too bulky, imagine hitting a wall with it, or your head.
I want to feel a massive shaft in my hands!
Have you seen this paint Shacker for model paint. This for you from @LukeTowan channel. You don't have this tool..
Have got model paint Shacker? I seen this.tjought of you. Go to
Great, now I just gotta sell my VR headset to buy these controllers when they come out
Me: geez I got work in 5 hours I gotta sleep
Tested: oh no u don’t we showin haptics today
i was interested , until i see the price 1200$. the tech looks promising.
Seems very interesting… but they are also very big, so they are only suitable for LBVR now
Pass. Ugly. Be ashamed of the ugly.
100% agree on the magnets. Why the Heck has nobody done this out of the box?
You put your hands too close to face of the guy to the right, that's dissrespectful
Just go outside and play.
Gun recoil. Also reboot the powerglove with modern technology. Holding things gets tiring.
Didn't they already had something like this done with modified Razer Hydras?
To bad it does not have finger tracking like steams vr controller
At $1200 a pair, not bad ^^
Looks on a heavy side..
freediver is really good!!

What a couple of betas.
I'd love to see this with Index and Boneworks
Have you guys tried HAPTX?
That wonder twins joke gave me a chuckle
