I think the role the child plays is that babies can see spirits. Which I heard numerous times through out life by ppl. Dont know how true it is. But yeah. And CONNECTING with the baby is like you see thru the eyes of the child because at a certain age we lose that ability i think

I have a feeling that something really bad happened and they need to fix it and so they used baby’s weird powers to understand everything we have to reconnect with them to understand everything. And I guess reconnect with the past because at the ends he summons dead soldiers in the fire.

it's clearly ww1, or anyother time when massive death happened, and those spirit won't (or couldn't )cut off connections. I think they are going to the moon, or at least in the space station, because there were scenes with floating dog tags(zero gravity) and they were doing experiment upon it. I feel like the humans have left earth for survival, and they are trying to rebuild human civilization back to earth…

My most anticipated game for the past 3 years. Anyone else find it odd that kojima, a Japanese man, always does narratives on western politics, specifically the United States of America? It’s like he is obsessed with western culture, everything from the actors he uses to the stories and characters he creates.
I think its about the ability to bring things or people from the past in real time… I think for some reason time got messed up and the past is trying to "catch up" with the present in some weird way where these shadows appear and try to get a hold of you with that rain that messes up time too it kinda makes sense… now … what happened to make realities clash in such a way??
