  1. Also: I think Fury trusted Carol so quickly because of the Skrull that, y'know, impersonated Coulson and tried to kill him. The enemy of my enemy, yada yada, and such and such.

  2. Yeah, when Goose scratched Fury and he was like, "Aw, it's just a scratch," Talos shook his head mournfully and said, "No." We all knew what was coming after that.

Although you're right, Joshua, in reality, I'd be pretty pissed, too. ???

  3. I honestly think thanos has a fake space stone. Remember Thor told him it was destroyed on Asgard? But then LOKI manifested the cube and gave it to him. In the captain marvel 2nd post credit scene, you see Goose regurgitate the tesseract in furys office and fury is not there. So one must wonder, did goose have the real space stone all along? That would mean thanos only has 5 stones and the avengers have 1 on their side, along with the ability to visit the quantum realm because of Ant-Man.

  4. 2 – There is a possibility IMHO, even if it'd have to be a little forced. Since we are told Skrull survivors were dispersed in many parts of the universe after the destruction of their home planet (we don't know how long ago it happened, it may have been centuries ago for all we know), some may have found home on their own in some very remote area of the cosmos and, over time, turned from survival to conquest. A still relatively "primitive" planet like Earth would certainly end uo on their sights. This way, a Secret Invasion in the MCU may also feature some friendly Skrulls trying to oppose their aggressive cousins.

4 – Fury may have decided to call her in case the Avengers failed; I honestly cannot see them getting better if they knew there was this heroine who could solve everything singl-handedly.
But realistically, it's an issue related to production schedules and times. Reportedly Kevin Feige wanted to produce Cap Marvel – and Black Panther for that matter- much earlier but couldn't due to Ike Perlmutter's interference. Not surprisingly, after the restructuring that removed Perlmutter from influencing Marvel Studios, BP and CM entered pre-production.

5 – I think it will be explained in due time. It looks likely that the FTL engine's energy was obtained by studying the Tesseract, if not taken from it. What if it was Howard Stark himself who came to know of Lawson's true identity and decided to give her the cube? Keep in mind that Howard also knew something was amiss within SHIELD at that point, so he may have thought the Tesseract would have been in better hands if kept in that cloaked ship in Earth's orbit.

6 – That's an interesting possibility; it looks like ultimately Carol and Wanda got their powers in similar ways, as their both derived from Infinity Stones. If they teamed up they would be an incredibly powerful pair.

  5. I think the reason is fairly simple as to why nick fury is so different in this movie than in the others: nick fury in the mcu we know, the fierce agent is actually a skrull. While the real one is this not so uptight one in captain marvel

  6. They should have hinted that Carol might have had Inhuman genes. That would explain her ability to absorb the core's power. I would have liked them to hint the the Kree have already visited earth and experimented on humans in the past. They wouldn't even have to explicitly say there Inhumans. Just say Earth used to be an Kree out post.

  7. Someone predicted that Nick Fury will lose his eye by the cat ?, as a joke when the trailer was released, I guess that person got it right.
    ???

  8. They should have left Fury's eye origin an ongoing mystery like the Jokers origin. We never needed to know how he actually lost his eye, ever.
