What about this scenario, in the case that Bitcoin hashrate follows price. According to most people Bitcoin will go near 1000$ near term. When that happens many miners will switch off their rigs. Since there is powerful Asic miners around compared to 2014, hackers will attack the weakened Bitcoin network through 51% attack(as cheap powerful miners become readily available). Then the price will further go down then again the hashrate then again more attacks. It will eventually go-to zero as nobody will use it. This is the future of Bitcoin.
