1. I'm gonna be that guy, fortnite deserves the award. It did a bunch of cool new stuff, has set the bar for a free to play experience (arguably alongside Warframe). Has set world records and actually has personality (lookin at you pubg). And the most important thing is that it acts as a fly trap for children, keeping them on fortnite keeps them away from other online games. So it's a win win.
