Recently we visited the virtual reality race club and It turns out combining virtual reality with a high response motion simulator is REALLY REALLY fun!
the most affordable motion simulator rig i know is DOF Reality
Really thinking about trying out a diy version with something like the Volvo wiper motors but getting some motors that are a little more robust.
A lot of people don't understand that the movement is used to create G forces during certain turns, braking, and accelerating. I'd love something like this for my PlayStation VR driving.
NJ motion are better than this and cheaper.
'move the car left and right'- so professional
Eh electrocuted me self!!!!
That setup looks incredible now if they can get rid of the screen door effect it would really be awesome.
and here I was thinking I wanted an mx5
or a house
That motion profile is too high, if you want to drive good you need to turn it down
can you feel in a motion rig when you break a suspensen, get a flat or something?
dont like a motion rig that moves only the chair, but not the wheel
Is that a Thrustmater wheel on a multi thousand dollar rig? Wow…I wouldn’t really be happy with that.
Rig seems much quieter than some of the sim experience ones I’ve seen. Check out the DBox rig over at Sim Racing Garage for another nice experience.
Movement looks a little bit exaggerated for VR usage. For normal screens it should be fine, but for VR it should be more subtile, i guess.
Would love to get your views on this with the triples.
You still drive like a transvestite.
sweet
VRRC have a sim racing team and we are recruiting new drivers, drop by http://www.vrracingclub.com to register with us!
Looks like it's beating the shit out of you. The chair slams you into the wheel under braking, unrealistic. Still, cool rig, cooler video thanks for sharing
welcome to my world
Awesome!
Awesome! I think It's time for GamerMuscleVideos to invest in a motion rig himself! I've had one for about one year, and I am enjoying my prosimu T1000 model w/3dof….they have many options/models to choose from, check 'em out – http://www.prosimu-shop.com/en/
I stick with the DIY windscreen wiper motor rig lol
Lmao, that intro…. You actually went OUTSIDE?!
He keeps upshifting even when he has ran out of gears…
Absolutely mind blowing!!!
You know your sucess is real when the dislike club is consistent.
Have they offset the user and rig movement from the VR headset?
Looking at the mirror screen whilst you are in VR in the motion rig, the image is moving up and down with the rig and user- it doesn't look like they offset the gyro or mag sensor in Rift meaning that image is rapidly moving up and down all over the place- didn't this make you feel sim-sickness?
Thrustmaster wheel?
Late comment, but it seems latency is really important in motion rigs and this seems to get it right.
Addicted to the chair
WOW…!!! ? "GamerMuscleVideos" finally you've been bitten by the motion rig bug..!!! ?? I'm sooooo looking forward to see what you're going to do next in your personal rig build, going forward, to match today's experience…!!! ???? Thanks for introducing these guys and their product offering as I didn't know they existed until now. ????
Which sim is this?
is one kidney enough to buy this thing?
It's like a chimpanzee transport on a very bumpy road ???
