I mean, it’s a really pretty game but considering this cookie cutter level outline with a possibility of noncompletion I have to say it’s not really worth playing. I can already imagine the disappointment I would feel if I got to the very end only to find out I can’t complete it so why even bother trying to start. Ironically this is a question that they have been pounding into me since the very beginning of the game. I am already have suicidal thoughts and grasping at straws for my continued existence. I play games to escape reality not to intensify it.

My favourite game. It really triggered my anxiety. But Senua really helped me to face it.

So far this is the best game on PS4. The simplicity makes it elegant. The battle system is addictive. The story is mind blowing. I love the character and voice acting too. The messages are beautiful

I enjoyed this game and think it tells a great, unique story. However 9 is way too high for a game this fundamentally flawed. The combat is very simple and stiff, getting really awkward in the late game when you're fighting large groups of enemies. The game seems to compensate this by making it very hard to die, you can essentially mash a button to get up everytime you go down. I played on Hard and died twice in the entire game in combat, and not once in a boss fight. I'm really surprised IGN genuinely enjoyed the puzzles as well. Outside of 3-4 genuinely clever ones, there are about 20 that were very mundane, repetitive and or frustrating. The late game has some very low visibility areas which makes spotting where to go or solving puzzles super annoying, especially with the super slow movement speed and restrictive levels with invisible walls EVERYWHERE. At these points, the incessant rambling in your ears from the voices in your head stop being atmospheric and disturbing and become an added layer of annoyance while you are trying to solve a very boring puzzle for the 30th time. Overall I think a 7 for this game is fair, as it is redeemed a fair bit by it's compelling storytelling and great voice acting
Now they have Microsoft as their parent organization. Hopefully they do well.
As a PC gamer, I'd ask one thing ; can you save a save before you get your save deleted so you don't have to create a new save ?

this reminds me of dead space 3 (at least the hardcore mode setting) where if you die thats it restart the game and you get unlimited saves

This is the game engine they used for GOW 4. Not only that, but they made Kratos look like a scrub you fight out of Hellblade literally
get this game on pc or xbox one x for the best experiance the ps4 version is the worst so you be wasrting your money
Okay I was looking for this game for a year, they didnt mention it was digital download only, here was me always looking in stores for the game, they didnt tell us enough it was only on the store, has me thinking it was only on PC when I see it on Steam, bad marketing as I was excited for the game, but now that I know its there I'll buy buy it at some point.
