2. I believe it is a mini swamp cooler, you probably do not want this near your desktop because it will shoot out vapors of water

10. I live small studio apartment in SanFrancisco. I am very pleased with my two units. I do wish they had normal electricity plugs. I purchased 4 of upgraded unit so gave 2 away as gifts and everyone is VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT!!!
