DON’T Buy The Google Pixel Buds

The Google Pixel Buds are a cool concept but the execution feels a little underwhelming. For me, the fit isn’t ideal and the lack of a fully wireless design puts …

  1. Google is an apple fan, removed headphone jack to sell their pixel buds like apple did to sell their airpods, bad move google!

  2. "The translation potential is HUGE but at the moment functionality is almost identical to the Google translate app on it's own." It's "its" in this case in case u wanna edit that

  3. Got these with my pixel II XL. Love the phone, but the earbuds did not stay in my ear. Also not too comfy b/c the part that faces your ear is where it charges. I returned them.

  4. Why would you want wireless earbuds? That's stupid, you could looked them so easily and you can't put them anywhere except for shipping them in your pocket. You can at least put these around your neck..

  5. I feel like to do a translate test in Mandarin is a little unfair being it’s the most difficult language in the world…. how many people will be using that language. Very few. Maybe Spanish is a more fair review. But it’s silly to think you need to buy the buds to test google translate. It’s not a separate software. It uses the app- google translate. Anyone can test google translate on the google translate app, without headphones, and they would know if you over complicate sentences then it doesn’t work well. You should treat it more like a person who knows a little English and you have to talk simple for them. People do it all the time in day to day life. But that’s besides the point, because basically you’re saying the headphones need to get a 2.0 for an apps software to get better….. the app will get better once the app updates. Plain and simple. I also find it curious you seemed to focus on a thing such as translate but not compare it to the translate functionality in the apple AirPods which you didn’t fail to bring up several times. You did fail to bring up that the google Assistant is great as an assistant, and someone like me who doesn’t want to pull out my phone and don’t have a smart watch would love to send texts make calls and set events while I’m at work which is outside. But thanks for reviewing the sound, good info

  6. "Would have been nice to see a fully wireless design"
No. This design is better. It helps prevent you from losing one.

  7. They aren't fully wireless because that little wire that goes behind you neck makes any wireless earbud sound 10x better. That is true for all wireless earbud, and also why "truely" wireless earbud are so much more expensive for the same sound quality
