Bing, the search engine from Microsoft, has announced its plan to ban cryptocurrency advertisements by July 2018. Microsoft joins other companies such as Google and Facebook in banning crypto ads, related products and unregulated binary options. The reason behind the measure is that cryptocurrencies and related products are not regulated, which could represent a potential risk to users. This comes as no surprise since Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, was recently quoted as saying Bitcoin was “one of the craziest speculative things”.
