Im not buying a fold or a flip until the folding displays durability become the same as a slap phone
30w charging for 1k usd lolllll
If it syncs with my Calendar etc. I might be interested
I like the outside screen for better quality selfie pictures. I would definitely use it
This basically lets you have 2 phones in one. People have been complaining for a while about phones getting too big. Now they get to have a tiny phone and when they want to they can get a full screen for scrolling or video content. It's actually very interesting.
First compelling flip phone. Especially if Motorola has added it's usual special touches like it used to do. That twist to start phone and chop to turn on the flashlight are still awesome ways to initiate those functions. They also used to have the best hands-free control of their phones. If they have added similar special touches to this phone, then it will be damn impressive.
To be honest . This thing looks great compared to the Samsung flop phones
I digg it
I love it
i love the big outside screen. The only thing that is with holding me from buying this is the camara/video quatilty compared to a pixel/samsung. Please update with more indept about the cam system <3
Motorala coming with real HTC vibes with there weird smartphones
I still don’t get why you’d want a phone that’s worse for more money. At least the side folding phones give you a bigger screen
Fold phones make sense, this doesn't. Folds make you fit a tablet in your pocket, which more useful than a "cute" screen.
the problem with motorola is not their hardware but support and updates. This is why i went for samsung
So I guess Steve Jobs was right, 3,5 inch screen is all you need…
small phone market being taken over by flip phones
With all these new options on the front screen, like even a keyboard, I feel that it just makes it another fully functional screen. Taking away from what was even remotely potentially the point of the flip phone. That's just a phone on it's own at this point.
This screen is amazing it should have been the first version
Putting it besides the Flip Z that we are expecting later this year, this is really putting it up there for the Flip market share, waiting out for prices now
Why did everyone copy Samsung with foldable phones. Like. Do they have no shame?
Of the clamshell and hot dog variants, I think the clamshell is better, though I'm not really sold on folding phones in general. The clamshell design is smaller and closer to being a regular phone, while also being a barrier between you and doom scrolling, while the hot dog design is too much of a compromise in what it's trying to achieve, and it's also very expensive. You'd probably have a better time with a separate phone and tablet. These look solid though.
Besides taking photos, I cannot think of a single use case where this outside screen would be useful
This is the first phone in so long that's actually intrigued me. The form factor being so small in its folded state AND being able to use it , and the camera use… just so good . . .
Here is my take on the smaller battery on the Razr plus, if the phone gets used most of the time on the smaller screen. battery starts looking pretty decent on the Razr plus.
"Not the best chip" It has the best chip of last year which is still one of the best SoC in android phone. You said it like it was a crappy chip… how can you say that this is now a mid range chip?
Wish Apple would finally do something like this. Hate that all phones just keep growing in size and smaller means less features.
What if I want to turn on the flash in the dark from the front screen and accidentally blind myself
IDk something about it just looks and feels cheap.
Does more usage of that outside screen mean less average battery usage because it is a smaller screen?
I want this
22:9 is just to god damn tall. 18.5:9 is perfect.
i like it ngl, but I'm stuck on iPhone
If I could control rewind, I would want… Fortnite, and Marques Brownlee.
It's a yes for me, to the "giant" outside screen.
I love this design. Well done Motorola!
Granted, I've never used a phone with a screen on the outside, but i dont see why wouldnt just open the phone to do things more than checking notifications.
Motorola never stops to rise. I hope to see them revolutionise the tech industry even more during the next few years.
Imagine a flat non foldable square small screened phone. Motorola cmon!!!!!! 1:34
my subtitles were on and it just throwed the entire script at the start of the video lol
All I want from an outer display is the ability to easily turn on and off my smart lights. It's like the most basic thing that none of these companies has implemented.
i tought that was clickbait, honestly thats wild. that cut out so satisfied looking
Interesting "flipping phone"
