  1. FYI for those wondering, we pre-recorded this episode because Adam is on a much-deserved vacation this week 🏝 Hope you enjoy! Hugo is a massive wealth of knowledge. Regularly scheduled news programming will be back next week 🫡

  2. Personally I couldn’t disagree more with saying storytelling isn’t going to work for VR and spatial computing on Vision Apple, we at RiVR have used it for awareness education in stereo 180. From Knife crime awareness to showing the impact Anti social behaviour.

If that can work, so can storytelling in entertainment. Sports will be a killer feature, but I feel like with top tear IP, immersive video can take you behind the scenes, like extras back in the DVD days.

  3. How is Vision Pro the best thing to happen to the Quest thats already sold 20 million units…? Do you have a number that tells us theyre selling faster afte Vision Pro reveal or release or something? Or just the usual Apple fanboy BS?

  4. the bigscreen beyond also would be damn near perfect if it had eye tracking and could interact with UI like vision pro. Frankly, I'd rather tether to my gaming pc. I'm going to be tethered to a wall socket anyway.

  5. The frustrating thing about this comparison is that there is very little overlap between the devices, except that you put both on your face. Most of it is software, so it's stuff that meta could have done this whole time, but they went with this stupid room for everything, rather than spawning a window, checking your mail, then dismissing it. So you go to the menu room, go to the MS Office room, then go to the menu room, then go to the netflix room, etc. Multitasking might be too much for the meta processors, or there could be some other technical limitation, but this is just not intuitive/easy. Apple's implementation just make sense. I use the thing all the time. Did my taxes on it this year while listening to music. My quest pro just sits. Meta's passthrough always looks like UFO footage, as well. It's telling that when you record video of what you're seeing, it replaces the actual passthrough with footage from the external camera directly, which looks cleaner.

  6. I strongly recommend that your team read "Crossing the Chasm" by Geoffrey Moore. He presents a comprehensive model of product/technology introductions and market penetration. It's a great model for developing a strategy AND for discussion/reviewing a product… just my 2-cents.

  7. 38:20 The MSG Sphere feels like a “tech demo” rn. We paid whatever to do the full-experience, but the experience hasn’t changed. We tell friends to go, but we have not returned. They should have changed up the movie by now. It really does feel like the Alicia Keys demo after the first time

  8. The content and subject matter of this channel is so good…. But i always get bored quickly with this group of guys. Something about the way they interact that disengages me.

  9. Hey Hugo… if you read this, please nudge Disney to release the rights for someone to rebuild the EPCOT Horizon’s ride in VR. For that matter, any attraction lost to the sands of time could be restored in VR… I never did get to ride Hollywood Limousine at California Adventure. I hear it was Eisiner’s masterpiece. Lol

  10. Wait! Recognize him! I used to work at Walt Disney World in Florida. There was an experimental VR Aladdin’s Magic Carpet ride in a backroom at an EPCOT pavilion. I went to the presentation several times hoping to get to ride but never did… but I remember him. He was there!
