  1. A user experience review that comes with the release of other cameras has not been published for the Sigma BF camera. However, despite the fact that everyone is holding a camera and discussing it, neither live video nor sample clips are effectively displayed. Why?

  2. The L mount is the only full frame mount with no real usable, pancake lenses. They have no 28mm F2.8 Nikon Sony and Canon all have pancake lenses. Yet the L mount has all the smallest cameras. That’s kind of ridiculous and Unfortunate.

  3. Internal only storage means if that memory goes bad, you have to repair the camera (which might not be possible in the future). No EVF means it's not good in bright sun-light. No possibility of flash at all. Can't even use a normal neck strap for this camera. And terrible ergonomics to top everything off – put a really big lens on this camera, good luck holding that combination.

  4. An Iphone doesn't have a viewfinder, this camera is for people who aren't obsessed with settings, I am a Leica shooter and I also shoot with a A7iv and I will use the BF just to shoot what I want to shoot and not feel like I have to get the perfect shots.

  5. Simga cameras are becoming a cult fancy stuff. I own a Sigma fp, and besides being a great camera, it has some iman effect – attracts a lot of people questioning me about the camera.

  6. MKBHD, as one of the biggest Youtube studio and using RED camera, I don't understand why they always skip over Nikon cameras (Nikon aquired RED in 2024) and never talk about it. It's just ridiculous for me 😂.

  7. 230GB is not NEARLY enough, especially for the kind of shooter this is for. They'll forget dumping their stuff for sure, not to mention that no tilt screen is a no go for vloggers.

  8. Anyone that uses a camera knows this thing is garbage and just stupid. For $2000 there are way better cameras with real features. This camera is for people that are more interested in what the camera looks like rather than having a camera that gives you options.

  9. Leica made a camera called T and then later TL which had an optional EVF. That was also made of unibody aluminum. IMO that was more functional and powerful, while being beautiful.

💯 agreed with the move away from the SD card slot. I think the entire industry should go in that direction slowly.

  10. For me a photo camera needs to have a mechanical shutter (or a stacked / global shutter sensor) and a flash hotshoe.
And as a sensor in a box the fp already exists.
The silver lenses are pretty though. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  11. I think somebody's going to use this camera as just a sensor rig it out to an external monitor. Some sort of external SSD storage a battery v-mount and call it a cinema rig

  12. To appreciate this camera you have to approach it from a phone shooting mindset. Though I would have preferred an EVF and hope Sigma does add a cheap one that connects to the USB-C port (which I've heard will have monitor out capability), you should also consider that nobody is looking for an EVF when taking photos with a phone.

  13. Well I can say for sure.. it looks beautiful and feels amazing and got good weight. I held and shot with it this past week… I want the black one

  14. I have similar feelings about my Olympus Pen F. It’s a delight to hold and manipulate the controls… I just wish it was a better camera.

So I end up having to decide before I go out whether I care more about the photos, or the experience of taking the photos.
