Every single Upgrade in the Apple Store, going from 16 to 32gb of ram, from 256 to 512gb of storage ect…
Each upgrade has a profit margin of like 70-80%
That’s how Apple makes their money The base computer probably has a 40-45% margin Which is fair, and the industry standard
But the upgrades all need to be halved in their pricing so it can match the industry standard, cause as is, this is ridiculous
The size also matters for server racks
2:58 – 3:31 – I don't even think this is a conspiracy theory. There are too many threads connecting for it to just be a coincidence.
And just like that. Mac Mini M4 became the number 1 sold apple computer
Why not get a bigger PC with better cooling, that you can upgrade? Apple makes no sense xD
The title should be "Mini yet Mighty"
"good deal" xD
For any student with an EDU email, Apple is selling it for $499, making it one of the best bang-for-buck computing systems I’ve ever seen (wrote this on my 2020 M1 MacBook Air base model)
Hey MArques just an idea if you haven't tried it, maybe try remote desktop setup once? Well I'm from India and I can safely say that the internet speeds here are at best on par with the speeds you might be getting or worse at times, and i do a bunch of editing and everything but i do it through remote desktop setup via Parsec and it's actually not bad. I have tried other options and for the speeds I get here and the use case this works wonders for me. Got myself a sweet rig here at home with an RTX 4090 and AMD Ryzen 9 9950x but i do carry a MacBook when I'm travelling and use it to remote desktop back to my PC at home that's always connected to a LAN and has WoLAN enabled and setup. So as long as you're having a decent enough WiFi at wherever you're travelling it's kinda convenient to do it this way.
Try it and maybe make a video if you think that would be something that MKBHD audience might wanna see.
With those GPU numbers are we looking at the cheapest mac for top end gaming? $1,299 for better performance than the M1 max. Plus current gen chip benefits like raytracing. I know mac gaming is trash but if you really wanted to play Cyberpunk on a mac next year this would be where to do it…

Incredible, you got me. It's me. I put the power button on the bottom
Think of the modding capabilities for emulation. Someone Bett 3d print a handheld for this.
Every tech reviewing is frothing about the mac mini, I think the imac is the real value proposition here, the extra money gets you the keyboard, mouse, speakers but most importantly a 4.5k monitor that is appropriate for macOS scaling. I know most people already have a monitor but lets be honest, macos looks garbage on incorrectly scaled monitors and to buy one on its own would cost 1k+.
The power button is user how often. You even said it…
An 3d printed apple enclosure for the Mac mini would be nice
Have a M2 mini 8gb/512gb and then built my first gaming PC. Funny how 1TB storage stick and 2X16gb memory for the PC was under $200. If you don’t need to upgrade the memory for heavier work, I agree. Stick with the base model and use external storage. The 8gb M2 is perfectly fine for what I use it for, so a 16gb M4 would be more than enough. But they should have bumped the base storage up to 512gbs.
They are not designed to be constantly turned off and on from a power button like a traditional PC.
I have a powerful gaming rig but I’m digging into the design and form factor of this.
Why does the phone cost so much?
Yes! I got my employee EDU deal for $499. It gets here tomorrow!
I’ve been waiting for this video for so long, mate.
damn, apple actualy included the cable in the box
Making a desktop computer small and mobile, but not making a mobile phone that’s small and mobile.. bring back the iPhone mini please.
I’m sorry, I can’t watch your content without remembering how you’ve been gaslighting about the privacy practices of Panels.
PC in this size and 32gb+1tb is third of this price, but not the newest CPUs. Mac is way out of my reach.
Not really getting the "oh my god look how small it is" vibe. I want my pc to be capable, its on or under my desk, who cares about the size….
marques where did you get that wallpaper?
It is small enough that you could accidentally press the power button so having it at the bottom makes sense
You need to take a look at different Nucs lol, there are more powerful computers this size
