my old kenwood head unit would think it was in a call every time google maps tried to give any direction. the text to speech thing seems like a related bluetooth codec problem.
at least in google maps there was a setting to use an alternate audio encoding? method when navigating which did not manifest that issue with the head unit.
different audio systems, eras, phones, bluetooth versions so who knows?

Hard agree to exchange performance for range – why are companies so interested in the 0-60 which you might try out once a month? Companies need to be maximizing range, otherwise all these cars are carbon copies of each other and overwhelmingly boring.

I love that it's so easy to change the regen level while driving. Being able to quickly change how the car response, speaks to the car's design goals. It's all about comfort and luxury.
I would have been impressed had I not seen all crazy EVs that are coming out in china. At this point premium/luxury EVs need to have leading edge batteries/implementation like Cell to Body plus enough battery for 300 plus range.
