For this normal this is my view on the new Apple iPhone 15, and 15 Pro. Pundits, and Apple's MAJOR FAIL over time was not pushing for, and Apple using the latest USB standard. Apple iPhones have had the same lame USB-2 data rate lightning port introduced back on September 12, 2012. Ancient in PhD Robert Metcalfe "The Father of Ethernet" (inside joke) technology years. He often told me…"The amount of change in our industry (computer/local area networks) in six months is equal to a decade in any other industry".
So feel Apple putting USB-C type connector with only USB 2 data rate is a MAJOR FAIL. Since it is a USB-C port Apple should have put at least put 5GB 3.0 data rate in the standard iPhone 15 product line.
Would have liked ThunderBolt/USB4 40GB data rate in the Apple 15 Pro since USB4 standard was released in 2019. I am okay with USB 3.1 10GB data transfer rate.
Like most normals who keep iPhones for five, or more years I own a Apple iPhone 11 Pro. Not looking at either of the regular Apple iPhone 15 offering. Waiting to see if the new Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max will support a USB C hub that will let me to put together a rig with power input, USB audio/microphone input (optional), USB ThunderBolt/USB4 SSD storage. If so I feel I could purchase a new Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max to record family events coming up this fall, and winter. Would love to future proof the recordings by using the new spatial video feature.
That and if I can store the data on an external USB ThunderBolt/USB4 SSD. I could then hook it up to my Apple M1 MacBook Air to edit, and store the projects on that device. No reason to wait while I transfer the data to my Mac to edit it.
"Action Button" for this normal it will be the return of the "Home" screen button/sensor. On my iPhone 11 Pro still to this day more times than not can not get the swipe up to work. So it is swipe, swipe, swipe up until it returns to the "Home" screen.
Obsession with "FAST" charging ???? This normal plugs into a 5 watt charger which is more than enough to charge my Apple iPhone 11 Pro overnight. Have only used fast charge once when I forgot to plug my iPhone in overnight,
I own a Apple iPhone 11 Pro. For me, one of the reason I more than likely will purchase the Apple iPhone 15 Pro even if it has a somewhat weak 10GB USB-C Style port. The reason I was waiting before purchasing a new iPhone was for a USB Type C connector with the higher data transfer rate. That and now that it can record family memories using the new spatial video feature is the reason I am more than likely going to purchase a Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max.

FYI : Spatial video will shoot in a "new" codec. M -HEVC. The "M" stands for "Multiview". It will in fact recognize when to show you BOTH "eyes" (Vision Pro) and when just to show ONE "eye" (Mac etc.).

One thing I'm still kind of sceptical about for real time ray tracing is whether it actually looks better, or if what's actually happening is that the developers for those games aren't bothering to set up the rasterised lighting properly now that ray tracing exists…
It's entirely possible that the flash in the iPhone isn't fast enough for 20Gbit to make sense, that's already well into NVMe territory and the much lower power flash chips in phones are probably not as fast as the ones in dedicated SSDs (even the older gen 3 drives that were running those sorts of speeds)

14:50 It has to be a crop. There is no other way to change the apparent FOV if you aren’t changing the optical configuration.
Just because it has 24MP output dimensions doesn’t mean it’s not using a crop of the sensor. They’re probably just using ML upscaling algorithms to normalize the output dimensions after the cropped capture.

I chose the White iPhone 15 Pro Max. I am not sure how white it really is. Hard to get true accuracy from videos sometimes. I normally love blue, but I didn't care for the blue on my iPhone 13 Pro Max so much. I figured if I went white, I'd be able to use cases that would give it some cooler colors in the end, since White is pretty neutral and you can get clear lightly colored cases.
Iphone 13 Pro cases pretty much cover all the color no matter which color you chose on your iPhone so in the long run, What did it matter what the color was? I just hope I will really like it. I wish we had better options in the Pro Max department like apple colors Red and Green don't disappoint too much. Thank you for the video.
