  1. Try thgat thing in a city like Wellington, New Zealand. There's always wind. The idea itself might be ok, but it will simply not work in every area and certainly not in many weather situations. Also can't use this around hospitals, airports etc. Drones are not allowed to fly everywhere, one such restriction will be above streets – imagine one failing and falling on your windscreen whilst driving. The tether makes the actual drone way more vulnerable to wind shifts, and there are a thousand more reasons why this won't be a thing.
I admit, it's a pretty "nice weather toy", but it can't work in real life conditions.

  2. I hope one day Things like Zippline aperate more around the world essoassaly were I live In New Jersey if any one Know anything about NJ is that it has a lot of road strutchers because we have a lot of traffic and we ofcourse preffer not to end up like New york the city and state. But this would really help a lot of places in the world esspecally larger versons of these.

  3. Drones are nice, they're soo kool, until they're dropped into your body with metal anchor and you're electrocuted. Assassination technique or "just kids".

  4. isn't this bad for removing a ton of jobs? you mentioned the crime rate in the us, why does crime happen? because of the direct relation to material conditions. a rise in material conditions means less crime, removing jobs means less opportunity to increase material conditions. (not that uber pays that well, an entire other problem) this may resolve some environmental issues but creates more problems, increased crime for instance. how many jobs would zipline create versus uber, fedex, ups, dhl, etcetera. we need to increase the material conditions for everyone and it's clear that we will not see that change on the political side of things without direct pressure from workers striking (like ups, starbucks, amazon warehouse, the wga, sag-aftra and so on). I don't hate what zipline is doing, it just concerns me.

  5. I like how he just casually mentions how zipline just invented one of the greatest fan blades of all time and its probably going to destroy the entire CPU cooler market
