  1. So it's just a concept showing that we can charge ONE MINUTE faster, but the phone will:
    Be Thicker
    Be Heavier
    Be More expensive
    Have worse battery life
And liquid that will spill everywhere when glass brakes

Is anyone thinking that it's genuinely a good idea?

  2. Phones have got so boring at the moment there has been no real big changes other than the foldables.
Rollables could revolutionise the industry , as it means that they could take up less space like a iMac that could roll out or an iPad or a phone that wouldn’t take up much room in your pocket or a laptop that would just roll away .
As with the streaming trend that happened why can’t we have devices that are designed for streaming which basically Corsair holds all the cards to because they own elgato with thing like the stream decks
Samsung at one point used to try everything including putting a projector on the phone.

I have always wanted a phone in which you could smell and a phone that has texture like pin art and I thought of using a mini diffuser
It would be interesting using soft electronics

  3. That roll-able LG and Motorola is divine! They should have released that for innovation's sake. How else will tech progress if nobody's willing to gamble? ELON should really start selling phones now.

  4. The colour change back phone did launch for customers, at least here in India. But instead of OnePlus it was Vivo (another rebranded OnePlus really) .

But I don't know if it changed colour for notifications tho cause I never thought it was cool and just found it rubbish

  5. People might remember that Apple used to do "concept videos", where they'd take a research idea and get it far enough along to show a cool demo video of it. So it wasn't something you could buy, but it showed off some of the ideas that Apple was working on. Those died when Steve Jobs returned. He hated them. I believe he liked the saying of "Real artists ship".

  6. I don't agree concept phones/products are just a PR stunt. It does have some advantages.

1, It helps test acceptability of the concept.

2, It's a way to get real world feedback about the concept.

3, It shows/shares the concept with the world. Someone else can build on or improve the concept.

Showing off concept tech is definitely about more than just a PR stunt.
