The biggest downfall for Alexa is that it's a third party voice assistant. I think that's the reason why Alexa failed so miserably in device control because as a third party app, certain access/function is limited. If you think about it, google assistant, siri, and bixby are part of the system by default and therefore integrated better with the OS.
Can’t wait till chatgpt gets voice recognition 😂😂
Seems in a second everyone is going to be using chatgpt and it’s going to crush everything

Fun fact, Google Assistant isn’t available in my country anymore (🇳🇦) on the App Store. Weird, it used to be there… 🧐🧐
I like how this video shows that Bixby isn't too bad, contrary to the cliches that tech sites like The Verge like to keep parroting. (And no, I'm not a Samsung user.)
Bixby, instead of giving the location of Taj Mahal (which is in Agra, Uttar Pradesh) it gave the location of the Taj Hotel (Mumbai, Maharastra).
I found that the Google is best on phones but when it came to eco-systems… I found that Google was behaving more like Apple when it comes to supporting multiple things in the home . Example, you have a Lorex system and the door bell and I found that Google Hub was slow, could not stream the camera, no matter which one. When it streamed the door bell, it was a complete fail. I also noticed the Hub also has problems speaking to the Sonos system and played music on its on speak most of the time. I decided to give Alex a chance, and to my amazement, everything I just mentioned worked not only faster but without any problems. It's can even play music on its self or stream it to the Sonos system when asked to do so. So now, my home does have both right now but for all the main stuff, Alexa was no bias specifically when it came to the Door Bell, it announced and even plays the sound of the door bell through the Alexa Sonos speaker itself.
"Various Levels Of Far Behind😆" That Killed Me !😄😄
I really hope matter comes through on it's promise….
Great concept for a video, would definitely like to see more of that! Though I find the talking points and tests a little lacking. I personally struggle a lot with Siri as my assistant, because it handles multiple languages (english/german) quite badly, Alexa is definitely doing better there. Siri also sometimes just sounds a bit strange in german, where as Alexa sounds way better and more realistic in my experience. And last but not least seems Alexas skill ecosystem quite solid and usable, as well as the routines, but Siri on the otherhand, especially on the homepod, often struggles to actually execute my Shortcuts. (Also device synchronization, like where does the timer ring when I set it a device, is an interesting question)
I am aware that this would require a whole lot more work and is probably more suitable for a more specialized YouTube Channel. But maybe you find some of those points interesting to look at in a future version of this video. Cheers!
My toddler loves to ask Google to spell dash. In fact, whenever she doesn't know how to spell something she'll look at me and say "Is spelled."
Cortana: I am dead.
Would have been interesting if you gave Cortana a spin and see where it would have landed in this list
You're the best.
There is this weird thing with Bixby where when asked to change the phone to dark mode, it says it cannot do that yet the command will work, am I the only one experiencing that ?
Google Assistant is also way ahead when you're driving.
I have the Google Home app on my iPhone. I love Apple, but Google’s just better at certain things.
My one test is to ask the assistant to find info and then do something with it. “Hey Assistant, how hold was Actor A in 1963?” The assistant would need to look up the birthdate of the actor and then subtract that from the provided date. This has worked and then stopped working multiple times with both Google and Siri. I’d like it to do multiple lookups in the query. “How old was actor A while filming movie B?”
It would be cool, if Google introduce Marques's voice in Google Assistant and Google Maps.
This camera is very sharp
I'm shocked a how much better Bixby is in most categories over Siri, especially when nobody seems to like it. But again when we're all judging it by Google Assistant standards of course we think it sux. Great work sir.
This is the reason why I went for Pixel 7 Pro, after very positive and impressive experience with iPhone 11 Pro. Good integration among Google Assistant, the phone itself and other Google apps.
I Have a Samsung S9+ Phone and by far Google assistant is better than Bixby in fact because of that reason I am considering my next phone upgrade to be a Google Pixel Ultra I will buy next year 2023
YES
it's pretty obvious to me why google assistant is the number 1 cause google has alot of data being fed and processed through their assistant . on the other hand Apple doesn't collect too much data about their users and also they had to collect the assistant's data from scratch unlike google.
I…. Barely use the voice assistant 🤷🏻♂️
hadn't realized that these have changed so much over the years. It's easy to lose track when it's all slow incremental changes. Things are not so stagnant afterall.
It is 2022, not 2023 though.
I didn't know you could ask questions back to back to back 😳
Alexa is the child you just hope makes it through school 🤣🤣🤣
I wish Google and Microsoft would come to a deal to license the use of the name "Cortana" as the name for Google Assistant in perpetuity.
google assistant be like: Nobody Nobody Nobody…..does it better
Once something like ChatGPT gets paired with the Voice Assistants, it’s game over
bixby gave the wrong location of Taj Mahal on the maps…it showed I reckon the location of taj hotel in Mumbai
I honestly think sticking to your eco is the best answer. Tbh automations make it so I never even have to talk to them anymore.
I'm on a pixel 7pro and I do like Google Assistant.. but I don't think I use it to its full potential. I would like to see a video on how people use google assistant a little better… Maybe some tips and tricks on what other people do or what it is capable of.
Siri is very weak compared to google's assistant That's one of my frustrations with iOS
Doesn't Bixby allow you to control your your Samsung TV? I'd find this far more useful than Siri being able to control an home speaker!

Gettin all kinds of delicious videos this holiday season.
Bixby is very useful for routines/automations
The Matter standard seems interesting
Cool sweater. Happy holidays
It's amazing how good bixby has become. Specially along with bixby routines, makes a whole new experience.
4:56 Marques Brownlee trading card? 👀
