4. This would have been cool if it had multiple playable characters like the trailers seems to suggest. Found out you can only play as this generic Dante wannabe dude.

5. The gameplay looks like it would get old really fast

13. Not a game series known for melee characters!? guess someone completely forgot you can play through the whole of Gungrave Overdose as Jyuji Kabane with his dual swords

15. Despite the bad reviews I'll probably get it at some point. And not a critic but here's an opinion…
    I think this would have been cooler if they made it a bullet hell like Returnal.
    Of course, adapting it to the Gungrave style. But it would have kept the essence of the games but giving it a fresh twist.
    After all, there's already some parts and bosses that are basically a bullet hell.

16. Evil West is a better game.

17. Anybody that enjoyed Gungrave on Ps2 will know exactly what they're getting. Just cathartic fun with that insane clusterfucking difficulty that you remember. It has all the same positives and negatives as classic Gungrave but feels like a bigger, better game altogether; and now the framerate doesn't dip to 5 fps when the screen is filled with literal clouds of bullets. A perfect example of a "pure" video game that isn't trying to compete or fit in with the AAA, but rather just trying to be a better version of itself.
