9. BMW's technology advancement was stagnant for 15 years thanks to to German conservative politics.
   Now they need to keep up and they don't have time to re-invent the wheel, so they buy the "ready-to-eat" technology

11. Tesla has nothing to worry about. Even if BMW could develop a good car software it would take at least a decade to even get where Tesla was two years ago in software.
