We don’t talk about Kirby. Nonono.
This show is great. Seth excels as a host, honestly.
Great episode! Hearing Tom talking about Kirby seems like he wanted to give it a 9 but was afraid to do so, also he doesn’t mention the waddle dee town in his review , and the only reason he gave it an 8 it’s because he didn’t like the dystopian setting, which may appeal to other people, I feel like an 8 is low for this Kirby game, it should have been a 9 , I’m happy that literally every other gaming media sites gave it a 9 , I’m very excited to play it!
Fantastic job as always Seth!
I very vaguely remember playing coleco at my neighbour. I think I remember DK, some caveman game and Zaxxon. I believe it’s the 1st system I ever played. I also played Intellivision (Tron, burgertime, Q Bert, dig dug) Atari (pitfall/Mario Bros/Indiana jones, frogger, joust, ET – i remember the dang pits and being chased). I guess I played this stuff because of the crash and bin of games you mentioned.
It’s all very vague but my most clear memory was being babysat at a neighbor apartment and them showing me the NES and Super Mario. I recognized them from Atari Mario bros but man… the game blew my mind and THAT was the moment video games grabbed me forever. One of my most memorable Xmas was after when my parents bought my 1st system and I had the orange zapper, Mario/duck hunt and Gotcha!
Sorry for the long message … you just sent me down memory lane in this episode lol.
I immediately played through Super Vegetable Salad when it dropped. It was an incredibly frustrating delight.
@peer Fast RMX… locked 60FPS and awesome
The Connecticut Leather Company also made the Cabbage Patch Kids. Peer might know them by Sauer Patch Kids.
Hey, as far as Tunic goes, if I can play a Paper Mario game staring bugs, I can play a Zelda game with a Fox protagonist.
Remember you don't have to play every new game!
Great show chaps
Peer on NVC is an automatic listen
Therapist: "Demon Peer can't hurt you, he isn't real"
Me: 54:35
I love Peer
Thanks to Tom for getting me even more hyped for Kirby (just gotta make it through the workday) and the whole panel for making me nostalgic for the Wii. I especially miss the Wii Vote channel and the playtime calendar.
So happy to know that the NVC crew also has fans of the Jelly Belly Buttered Popcorn flavor! My family holds a Jelly Belly taste testing competition every year – we get the box of 50 flavors and see who can guess the highest number of them just by taste. All the dang strawberry flavors are hard to tell apart!
I almost exclusively have digitally downloaded games and so therefore I’ve made a folder for every SD card I use for the Switch. This way I don’t have to check the list (computer file) I’ve made to see on what SD card the downloaded game is stored.
its weird that rune factory 5 still gets such "good" reviews… just from watching you can see that the game is totally crap… it runs bad, it looks amateurish designed etc etc. and that the game runs so poorly is not because the switchs hardware power it's more that the developers didn't know how to optimise the game.
Tom is great, you guys should always bring him on.
So refreshing to not see industry "legend" kat and "reb" for once but then they throw in tom marks. Wawp wawp. Dude ends most his sentences in a question, and uses the words "like, um, right?" a MILLION times an episode. He is impossible to listen to.
HAL Labs definitely showing GameFreak how to make a pretty looking game on the Switch with Kirby
That guy serious with the bow tie or that a joke?
IGN do you still support Ukraine knowing that they are telling trans women to stay and fight because they aren't really women????
As someone with alot of games I haven't even touched yet, having a group called "backlog" is very useful for remembering what games I still need to play
I need to know where to get that German candy. hook me up with that http:
The first story, that's the difference between nintendo and someone like say bethesda. Modders are literally remaking the entire game of elder scrolls oblivion in skyrim's engine, and bethesda has acknowledged and even gave them their blessing basically. As long as they don't profit from it. Nintendo on the other hand lol
Personally, im glad i can sort games into "Unplayed" so i can see them side by side when deciding what to play next. Same with Demos!
Great show, love this panel. Hey Seth I've got a non NVC question, I've just finished Dune and really loved it, but worried the other books in the series won't hold up as well. Do you suggest continuing?
The title of this vid sounds like a National Enquirer article lol. Kirby and The Forgotten Land is a charming game. Just got it today and it's a joy to play, so relaxing and fun.
I love that these drop on Thursdays. Gets me pumped for the weekend and is always a nice reminder. I generally don't watch them until Friday or Saturday but I always eventually watch regardless of the day they drop. NVC4L
This Rouge Jam show sounds really interesting. Will it be in a steaming service or something?
I wanna say Universal was involved in a prior lawsuit and they argued and won saying King Kong was public domain. Nintendo presented that as evidence as to why Universal has no claim on the property.
Ok Tom, now when you say worst performance on Switch how is it compared to Deadly premonition 2?
Heck yeah, Seth. Dune! My favorite book and book series of all time! 👏👏
In my opinion, whoever had the temporary lapse of sanity to put sea salt in caramel should be put in a nuthouse.
Seth's face when Tom said he was born in '91 😂
Who gave this "legal advice", Lionel Hutz?
On Kirby's difficulty: every game doesn't need to be Elden Ring or Dark Souls or some no-lifer eSports shooter. Let's have our games that are just fun.
Where did you get that intro music from? So crisp. 💛
Sorry, video game cars are not real. If I'm paying $70 for a racing game it better have all the cars accessible for free.
Seth Macy is a treasure. I think he's takin NVC into its golden years
It’s good to see mature men with a knowledge of Nintendo history giving interesting opinions and information. More please. ✌🏾
