Crazy to me that apps like Mana are actually using base layer to change things like clothes on a character. "oh lets use a encrypted database with validators all around the world to verify you have the right hat on". If you think of networks and loadbalancing then it's not a good idea to process everything on the base layer and for crypto the base layers main job is security and uptime. Dont get hacked and stay online for life and its doing its job. If programmers build poor applications that rely too heavily on the base layer then they are the problem.
