Lol yeah right. Bitcoin cant touch Ethereum without ruining itself. And Nothing is killing Bitcoin or Ethereum. The value of a blockchain is derived in large part by how old it is. The oldest will always be safest and therefore most likely to be used.
The only relevant question would be whether ETH can compete with BTC. ETH can't erase its history of being a premined "project" which generated fabulous wealth for insiders, and power will be even more concentrated with ETH 2.0. It doesn't even belong in the same category as BTC. Though I own both, I'd sell my ETH far before I'd even consider selling my BTC.
Taproot did not add smart contracts in the same way that is applied to Ethereum. Saying that smart contracts can now exist on BTC like eth is a big stretch or misleading.
