The major reason for the emergence of targa tops in 1960s also known as semi convertibles was dictated by the fear that the US Department of Transportation would ban regular convertibles due to passenger safety concerns in case of a vehicle overturn. Since then the roofless design was significantly improved and modern targas are mostly a homage to the retro styling rather than a necessary engineering solution. In this video we will cover the most recent models within this class!
So subscribe to #AutomotiveTerritoryDailyNews and join us once again on this trip of admiration for the beautiful cars! We start the engines now!
