  1. I've been using this phone for 4 years now, but sadly it's about time it gets replaced with a mew Nokia. I have nothing but the best to say about this phone, if anyone somehow finds it even now in 2019, buy it.

  2. I used this phone over an year in 2015 .. everything was great except the applications.. this was the degrading point nokia had.. if they overcome that problem that time nokia would have still being fighting with android and ios alongside

  3. @Liam Zuiderhoek lol what you mean is no official you tube app, personally even if there was a official one I'd still use metrotude as it fits windows so better and I love it, but if I need to cast you tube I use tubcast, I certainly don't need a official version. Then again my mates official you tube app shows adverts, metro tube and tune cast don't lol.

  4. I've had the 930 1 year I got orange, love the phone, love the feel and love the could lol also it's silky smooth.

  5. I actually really love windows os but I don't ever see it taking off I love it because hey I'm a windows guy and all and we'll I don't like how apple try to rape me and force me to like whatever phone they come out with but on the same token android trumps both because it plays well with everyone has great app support and has the most manufacturer behind it which means more variety among android but um yea good job windows for trying to stay competitive but your like blackberry at the moment you better get it together for Windows 10 and provide a even more seamless experience similar to apple and make your own apps work better on WP instead of tuning better on ios or android just my thoughts here

  6. I'm not a Windows Phone daily user, but saying the Windows Phone UI hasn't changed in 4-years is nonsense. If you're purely talking about the basic layout, by that standard you'd say iOS and Android haven't changed either. They're all still based on the original concept, but that concept has been greatly refined, and that is the case with the Windows Phone UI.

  7. my opinion is the windows phone the first smartphone I bought was the lumia 920 yellow and I loved it I use it for a year and a half and there was 2 problem in it, the first was the app store and I love the glassy finish but it will fuck up

  8. I got my 930 3 days ago.  I am now officially amazed.  It simply does everything that I did on my iPhone,  Yes if your a app junkie then you might have a issue, though it has all the popular apps and social media, built in sat nav, And for me the games which I use maybe 3 or 4 a year, isn't a issue. I loved my iPhone, im been using them since 3g, I wanted something different, and the 930 has given me that in buckets along with a wonderful experience.  Yeh there's changes id like to see, but to be fair there's changes on iPhone and android id also like to see.  My Wireless charger hasn't failed a single time im guessing im either by default placing it in a different way or maybe yours was a bit bugged, faulty.  Ive actually tried to put the phone off Centre on the wireless circle and until it starts tipping, it still charges :).
There is a couple of negatives but only one big one and that's for playing my own music I really don't like Xbox music, there are apps
(but yes they suck mostly.) but Id rather use the built in system.  But I have cheated and live tiled all my 60 albums to my start screen and put them in a folder giving me a view of 24 live tiles at any time of my albums(which is what I wanted.).  (yes id like a sd card or at least 64gig of storage Though I still have 10 gig left after putting my full music collection on and 7 hq vid movies.)  But then if storage and cost is a defining factor you'd better to go android cause even the iPhone doesn't have a sd slot, and charges you a lot more for just 32gig spare, at least its default on the 930, so that's a positive.  Yeh the sim card slot sucks and thk god we only use it rarely,  I love the iPhone sim slot and wish theyd use it here.  Id also prefer the power buton on top like the iPhone and flight of physical button like the iPhone. I love the action center which we ripped off android, its fantastic, but if needs more choices.  IPhone also did a good rip of from android on it:)
Id like to see both settings menu and program menu change to a tiles system but you know what, after 1 day it so isn't a issue for me, and apart from visually it isn't that much different(scrolling wise) from using my iPhone.  Thought iPhone fanatics would moan AT ANYTHING.
But overall I ordered the orange phone got the green, I love the bright colored phone(watching a vi the back is changeable and its easy but you just have to be carful peeling it off.  Starting point is inside sim try.), I love the interface and I love the live tiles.  I use this phone like I first used my iPhone back in the 3g days when it exited me(remember titan 2 win 6.5 mobile with hc home, before apple lol).  There's nothing wrong with iPhone but for me win 930 phone is fresh exiting and just like a new flash toy.  And after 2 days of usage I went from öh no it doesn't do that or it doesn't do this like the iPhone, are windows stupid to, WOW stop listening to people it does do this it does do that, its a small learning curve(you actually have to go to settings and read). but it does virtually everything my iPhone did and cleaner faster and with more fun brought back to the mix. Ple if your thinking of a top phone and you wana change this is it(lets create a third eco system so prices get cheaper).  IPhone are great yeh, androids are great yeh for me undeniably right now this is a awesome phone.  Buy 1 use it and I dare you to send it back on day 7 for free and order a iPhone, you simply wont.(unless your a heavy app games user or you have a essential app missing, something you can check on the windows checker pages lol.).  I also have small hands and this phone feels great especially taking pictures. Id say after watching like 200 reviews I expected a huge phone, so I was surprised when I got it that it wasn't any way near what I expected,  It felt thinner lol.
Ps: loved the review keep doing them, it helped me make my choice to buy a 930:)

  9. I have a green Nokia Lumia 930 and I'm loving it. I don't have much problem with apps because all the apps I need is already in the Windows Store although some of them are from a third party developers. Although official apps have started to launch in the Windows Store, I find the third party apps that I am currently using are more superior than the official apps. One example of this is the 6tag for Instagram. I also didn't find it hard to navigate with the its UI as it is very simple and there are not much things to tweak about. My only disappointment though is the Settings which is a very long list of things and not categorized. I heard that the next update for the OS will have a cleaner Settings. I think this will come on the launch of the Windows 10 for mobile.

  10. Just had a word with EE, telling me I can upgrade early… My Lumia 920 has served me very well for the past two years but I just don't see myself sticking with a Lumia 930 for two years 🙁

  11. Oh for frigs sake. If I have to see another reviewer complain about lack of apps for WP it'll be too soon. All the apps you need are there and there are loads to choose from. You don't need a bajillion apps to choose from and most of the apps in the iphone and android stores are duplicates abd knockoffs of pre existing ones to bloat the numbers. There is an app for everything I need for WP and I don't need to base what phone I get based on who has the most apps. As for the OS, it's great. Myself, my wife, my son, my mother, mother in law, boss's son, wife's aunt, etc have all switched to WP over the last year from Android and iPhone.

  12. The cpu may be last year's, but that doesn't matter. Windows phone runs great on low end hardware, so a cpu that is one generation behind than most flagships will run WP perfectly. I think they forgot WP isn't a power hungry OS. Also, there is nothing wrong with the interface, every thing is clearly laid out, and not as confusion as Android. WP is actually an excellent OS, I moved from Android and found it so easy to get used to. The app store is also getting better, the only thing it needs is more updates to apps (I'm looking at you Instagram), and for developers to show an interest in WP. Plus you get all the cool Nokia apps! Your rubbish negative talk won't stop me from getting a Lumia 930!

  13. UAE user
    1. Viber not working on windows phone (it works perfect on Android and ioS)
    2. VOIP calls not working properly there is echo on other side and no option to change operator code (it works perfect on Android and ioS)
    3. No calling option on BBM on windows phone
    4. Cannot send mp3 through whatsapp
    5. ICQ also not working, only rings other person cannot hear the ring and also using windows phone
    6. Cannot click picture while video recording, which is possible in Androd and ioS
    7. Facebook app is not same as in Androd and ios (not showing online contacts on windows)

  14. I'd like to try Windows Phone for a review. I have an iPhone 5S and I'm very happy with it. Saying that I've tried Windows Phone 8 on a relative's Nokia Lumia 920 and I'm not all that keen on the interface for it. For me iOS has a better interface which is easier to use. Having said that I found no lay on Windows Phone.

  15. For awhile I didn't like Nokia phones, but now I would consider getting this phone now, especially since the build quality has improved and more or less the software

  16. should i get this or the galaxy s5
I'm looking for a strong phone and a better camera 🙂 also which one would last on the long run? i see galaxy phones lagging in first time use! don't know about lumia ..
