That's what I said…
She sounds like the narrator from How it's Made
fact – eye tracking doesn't work on asian people. -_-
But it won't save battery, Actual purpose is to save the battery when you are not looking at it.
For what I have seen in this video is that the phone reacts with a delay of time – most probably because the camera is looking for some facial features. Some might just see this as a gimmick. It's a great concept but the execution is not that impressive.
hi on my sgs3 not work i activated this feature but the screen go off whe i looking to the screen. WHY???
No, not if you are reading long textes, and dont want every 10 seconds to touch the screen to wake it up
The new camera functionality is really awesome, isn't it. Shame Pop-Up Play isn't available on third party video apps yet though – will be great when it covers YouTube. Thanks for watching!
What I really like about the new touchwiz is pop up play, motion controls and the great camera app.
Very very true. Actually the most accurate and best response yet. I got mine today and even though this is a tad slow (LOL) i always had to press the screen or buttons to get the light back on my previous phones 😛
Yes we've tried it since making this video and don't have much luck either!
Maybe it might be slow but at least it wont dim when you're reading a long article or something which is pretty useful, otherwise, crap.
I was like "awesome function!!", its useless, but nice technology, now I see it….its a shit LOL…
they said you will be able to control almost everything with your eyes, like changin the page if you are reading something, but not ! lol….you have to turn your face and then it goes off…..omg, this video should be a joke or something xD
useless function.
it seems kinda slow
nice function, but i don't think it is very useful because it delays around 4-5 seconds.Still, a good phone!
Should call it smart slow 😛
Apple will copy that and call it istay and all the apple phone will say that Samsung copy that from apple lol
very slow response ..
yes it will!
Perhaps others are working on similar systems…
and re-launch their current line up equiped with smart stay CLONES and 100Mhz more clock speed and I'm sure you can guess the new name YES SIR!! SAME AS LAST BUT BLESSED WITH " " MARK!
such a slow response…. stupid feature!
Can do that with an app called smart screen off 😀 it just uses proximity and light sensor though, not eye tracking…
awesome
seems kinda slow….i mean almost too like 3-4 sec …
theres an app for it . i dont remember the name but try googling it
We'll test that today for you. You'd guess it would as your eyes aren't looking at it though?
if i put the phone in my pocket, will the screen automatically turn off? that' what i want!
SUCKS! ;>
Well you'd think it might be an issue.
does that mean it consumes more battery when front camera is enabled to MONITOR me all the time ?!!!!!
very useless
Mmm, if they could speed up the sensor recognition, it could prove useful. But, looks too slow at the moment.
Thanks for the demo.
Yeah you'd think… it's a bit laggy from the demo we got at the launch too. Once we get one in we'll be testing the hell out of it!
Would it not be easier just to simply touch the screen to wake it up?
It's annoyingly slow
