While our drone is safely flying in the test room, it “sees” an exciting virtual race track full of obstacles. Using our FlightGoggles (http://www.github.com/AgileDrones/FlightGoggles) software, we are able to render virtual camera images in real time using the actual physical motion of the UAV. These images are sent back to the drone, which autonomously navigates the virtual race track at high speed using Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO).
