Trump probably pushed to speak about BTC because of FB Libra, which would be more of a perceived threat as a "Digital currency" threat due to network effect capacity which threatens USD as a medium of exchange. The comments about BTC seem to be aimed at BTC as a perceived store of value ("thin air") and the ironic sense that the US Govt supports the notion of the USD and more specifically its Bonds and Treasuries as a "safe haven" asset. Won't delve into inflation of 70's and QE of 20teens so BTC and Gold are competitors (Gold as a non-deteriorating asset = trustless and BTC as sound math = trustless).

I get that traders are generally long term hodlers but alot of traders will keep btc on the exchange (do NVT levels measure exchange wallets or are exchange buys / sells counted as off chain) and they are in and out of btc, traders are responsible for price and as more traders enter the market are we likely to see NVT price separation matter less and less? Also does NVT take into account institutional holdings? I'm not really sure how on chain volume is measure. It's not a metric I'm overly familiar is although I do find it interesting.

25. I think I'm getting board with crypto again – Not your channel it is great. But like 2011-12, I left and came back in the beginning of 2017 thinking finally it is gonna be mainstream. BTC was yet to hit 2k. 2+ years on (that is 2 times the earth has traveled around the sun) it is all still just hope. I don't care on price anymore I just want it adopted so we don't have to use banks and be affected by inflation caused by Governments. The only thing I can do to help right now is to accept BTC at our cafe and web store.
