16. Hoarding: Bitcoin is one to HODL. Interestingly, the deflationary aspect of BTC might mirror the way people in the Middle Ages hoarded gold, books, and other valuables. There is a big incentive to hoard scarce assets, especially when those assets become more valuable over time (as reflected in price climbs). Over the mid-term, HODLing is going to happen, until the value-potential of other blockchains and derivative ideas are realized.

    Conclusion: Now is time to buy these alts on dips. World is going to lose its' (hive)mind again when BTC goes above 20k. Then altcoin season again

19. If you care about the Alts/BTC ratio, that just means the alts you are holding are shitcoins. At one point in time, in the early days of Ethereum, the ETH/BTC ratio was horrendous. ETH was trading at cents going down and BTC was trading at hundreds of dollars going up – talk about bad alt/BTC ratio. But people bought Ethereum for +1,000X return on their money regardless of what BTC does. If you are holding on to an alt that is TRULY the next Ethereum (in terms of legitimate technology), short term you may get killed on the alt/BTC ratio, but are you really gonna cry when your initial investment does a +1,000x return?
