  1. Micro-transactions have been ruining games since the beginning of this console generation. Look at every game that has come out since the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With the exception of some early launch titles, nearly every game with multiplayer has had loot boxes.

  2. Sounds like parents not doing their jobs, so instead of taking responsibility, they blame the companies that sell loot boxes and want the government to intervene to "save the children."

How many times has the "for the children" argument been used to support something that will backfire?

  3. my 3 year old little brother spent $85 in microtransactions in The Crew 2 while I was in college and now I'll never get it back:(

  4. When overwatch came out I was way stupider than I am now and I literally spent like all of my money on loot boxes trying to get the seasonal skins, such a waste.

  5. I'm also in the club that I am old enough that before when I got a new game it was a full complete experience and not sold to me lil by lil later or egging me to unlock stuff by buying them.
    – Firewielder?

  6. How the hell is that gonna work…
The networks are flooded with minors how will you determine adult or not with out scanning ID's. I get maybe credit card but even that is not even 100% I would say even barely 50% gonna stop kids. Also gaming companys are gonna just block contwnt from game owners completely who are not of age.

JUST TRASH LOOT CRATES ALL TOGETHER. JUST SELL THE IDEAS STRAIGHT UP

  7. " consequences"?

What? They already made BILLIONS. Set for life. The only ones that will suffer will be the workers. Because the CEOS will just go out and break laws elsewhere to make profit.

    OR

The "Fines" they get will simply become a cost of business. Make 1 billion and be fined $50 million? Yeah thats a no brainier.
