The cons they listed are extremely exaggerated. They didn't mention some of the best elements of the gameplay. This is an amazing game.

Not true. In fact, there's an entire mission where you can perfectly sneak by all radioactive creatures.

All the footage shown here was from the first 30 minutes of playtime, guess it's how much ign thinks you need to play in order to review a game.
The only problem is the human AI is very bad at stealth gameplay and Artyom never talks. I think it is 10/8.5 as a Metro fan
I mean, I really enjoyed this game but according to the comments it's like one of the best games ever made… To me its way too constraining. A lot of the time, the game almost plays itself. Yes the world is very well realized and the setting is great, but in terms of gameplay, it's really not THAT exciting. The game truly starts to shine when the player is let loose in an environnement without having to follow another character and constantly waiting for scripted events. I MUCH prefer the STALKER series for instance. Same kind of setting, but really interesting gameplay and systems.
For me it's 9.5…..never trusting ign ever again…..I didn't give it 10 because I wanted to play more of this game

I was expecting a low score from IGN. It's either inexperienced game reviewers or the conspiracy theory about them which looks to have weight to it.

Uneven story? The game is based off a book, and you just praised it in the first minute for doing so.
Bad AI…there's a setting in the menu where u can choose difficulty setting…try and set it above easy

If you disliked the gane that much, I suggest you to play the redux version of it. The game runs 60fps and a completely new HD (4k in some consoles) graphics. Same story, but theonly thing is that the missions and levels are more difficult now. And of course, it's a game inspired by a Novel. If you hate games with stories, just play fortnite or PUBG. The METRO franchise is every fallout fans' dream. I suggest you playing the game all over again but uding the Redux version, see if that can change your mind.

I just started playing this last week , and its pretty good.. any suggestions for simulair survival adventure action games ?for ps 3 ? ( I just own one since 6 months) i love these type of games… Iv got : last of us , tomb raiders and uncharted serie , please let me know if somebody knows more titles. I wish they got alan wake on ps 3 . That one looks interresting.
