This is a little challenge I had for myself to try to pull off a decent shot with my old iPhone 6s+, results are not as bad as I thought! My whole filmmaking kit: …
Looks almost the same. What I recommend is what I do sometimes. Use a monitor with tape or something blocking a predetermined area. Try to stay in that area so that u can add a guasian blur in premiere and reverse mask for fake dof
Hey Nigel, Great video! If you use the Filmic Pro app and then also their Filmic Remote app, you can control your phone/video camera settings remotely with an ipad (or another phone). I use method for doing live streams – Makes the process much easier
My priority always tends to be sound quality, still fail to this day! Great upload Nigel!
No, you're not allowed. I'll tell on you
Nice DIY with the colored divider! Very creative use of inexpensive materials that are readily available.
hi bro whats App? anroid / ios? thx btw and great video…
People should prioritize lighting over cameras. Lighting (like audio) is everything and can either scream "amateur" or "professional". Looking at the iphone footage, I would have no problem if you shot all your content with it, as long as the lighting is good. You can hide a cheap camera with good lighting, but you can't hide bad lighting with an expensive camera.
Reminds me of what I did back in the day!
Moment app is awesome. That said, the pro features are $5, unless you've already purchase a Moment accessory (like case or lenses). Still way cheaper than Filmic.
Did you color grade the iPhone content at all ? Nice vid bud.
Try to shoot a short film or a montage at the park or somewhere with the IPhone as u would with your camera
Cool video. I think you definitely can make cool things with a phone camera. I think what matters the most is to understand the limitations and advantages of the gear you have and create projects accordingly. I shot a whole series of videos about my APARTMENT HUNTING in Shanghai with my old Galaxy S6 phone. And a lot of the shots I managed to get in the apartments wouldn't have been possible if I went in with my GH4 on a shoulder mount or on a gimbal. People would have been uncomfortable or intimidated and most likely would have refused that I film. But they didn't mind me filming with just a phone. That was a deliberate choice. It's all about understanding the limitations and edges of your tools. Novel over… ?
