Audio only, a real shame,
I can understand why it's going audio-only from a business viewpoint, no need to edit video, possibly no producer running show and no need for the set. But it doesn't surprise me, it's a very short sighted, very IGN move. Considering how the industry has changed, it seems like a '2 steps forward, 1 step back' kind of decision.

Thanks for bringing up Battlefront 2! It's a great game to spend a couple weeks with every few months. If you check in at the right time you find new maps, new heros, new skins and new modes. Excited for the "Titan mode"!

As they are posting the audio to youtube, i don't think it's as "end of beyond" as people are saying –
However it seems really unnecessary…
If the issue is the producer's time – don't use one. Sit the 4 people in the room , turn the mics and a single wide shot camera on … cut and post it… done.
If the issue is the room needs to be used for other shows – use the smaller "pod cast" room
Also, immediately after announcing there would be no video, you show a great visual reel of photos etc…. found that rather ironic

Stop selling us half baked games and demand us shell out for micro transactions in order to get content for the game.
A podcast that uses a lot of video aids to show gameplay and trailers becoming audio only is an interesting move.
Can't wait to hear how they do an audio play by play of the newest game trailers.

Okay, so sometimes I feel that IGN has too little Youtube Podcast content. I wish there was more. Then I would not shift to channels like KindaFunny on the off days. But now with Beyond and Unlocked going audio only there is going to be even less. Does IGN want to push me away? Why are you going back in time? Terrible decission and Beyond will be missed greatly. Please reconsider
I like watching the video version. I’m hoping Colin and Chris will start doing video of Sacred Symbols so there will still be a fun informative video version of a PlayStation podcast. RIP Beyond (video)

Gotta join majority of comments on here and say I think the loss of video is a real bummer I have only ever known Beyond as a video podcast. Is it that difficult to do? What are the reasons for the change?
