VR's lose of market is not because of lack of interest but all about greed and inflated prices and shady sales strategies!
Suppose people will have to wait until the Chinese produce good quality reasonably priced alternatives!
This is pretty much exactly what I expected VR and AR would be used for. It's also easier for companies to buy/rent the expensive hardware than many individual households to use them for personal recreation.
