All they needed to do was keep the gameplay design of the original Darksiders. Not a fan of them adding souls like aspects to the game.

Ign is not qualified to review this kind of game. They need to understand its lore and story are as important as its gameplay. And i can grante you that no one in the ign team knows its lore to enjoy the story. Try acg or gamingbolt etc for great reviews.
