Crypto markets should trade against stablecoins not btc/eth. It makes a lot more sense. By the way, my favorite crypto is FGC. It's one of a very few cryptos with a real world use.
I like it.. Every stablecoin that is more trustworthy than tether is good for crypto
What is the point of a stable coin if you can't use it to buy and sell other cryptocurrencies or use it as a 'safe haven' for your cryptocurrency during a volatile market? In my opinion, it's a bit redundant for coinbase to pursue this feature since they already offer USD pairing with all of their coins. Tether allows for a trader to have a USD alternative on exchanges that don't currently offer USD pairing or their USD deposit requirement is too high. So no, in my opinion I don't think this is a threat to Tether at all. Tether's only threat is itself.
Why does coinbase need a stable coin? They use real American dollars for fucks sake
